Before 2017, Tracey and her husband, Pete, had one son. 10-year-old Hunter. Then, when Hunter began asking for a younger sibling, Tracey and Pete began exploring options for the 40-year-old woman to give Hunter a sibling.
Tracey and Pete eventually began in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment after trying to get pregnant naturally didn’t work. But as a backup plan, in case she lost her pregnancy again due to a previous miscarriage, they also explored surrogacy.

The day Tracey became pregnant from her fourth IVF round, she and Pete also went forward with signing the surrogate papers.
In August of 2017, Tracey gave birth to Harlow and four months later, their surrogate gave birth to twin girls, Piper and Presley.

Thirteen weeks after the birth of the twins, Tracey made a doctor’s appointment because of some bizarre symptoms. At the doctor’s office, she found out she was three months pregnant.
She later gave birth to son Dylan at a premature term of 29 weeks.
So, in the span of 13 months, Hunter suddenly had four younger siblings.
Their story has been featured in People, on the Today Show, in Dailymail, in Parents, and in POPSUGAR. They have also gone viral on Tiktok with their story and are known across social media as Almosttripletsnyc

“I was surprised people were so interested in our story, but so many people reach out with questions and I always share my experiences,” Tracey said.
As a family of seven, Tracey, Pete and their children live in the heart of New York City in an apartment.
“NYC living is tight, but it’s the only thing my kids know. They love it,” Tracey explained.

Currently, Hunter is 14 years old while Harlow and the twin are three and Dylan is two, so living with four toddlers can be wild.
“Our kids are very active. They do ballet, swim classes and gymnastics. They go to preschool each day and spend tons of time at the park,” Tracey said.
For Hunter, to suddenly go from a single child to having four younger siblings 11 years apart from him, is an eye opener. According to Tracey, the toddlers’ bond with their older brother is adorable.
“They idolize him,” Tracey said.
“Family is everything and their bond is a true reminder,” she added.

And although life can be stressful with four young toddlers, Tracey will never change anything.
“I am so thankful for them that it gives me amazing perspective which prevents me from getting overwhelmed.”
