With the conclusion of the FBI storyline wrapping up in episode six, Owen now turns his attention to helping plan his son’s wedding!
The 126
Episode six opens with the 126 firefighters and paramedics taking part in an emergency drill. As they are heading towards the sixth floor, Comms tells Owen that there might be a second bomb. Replying back to comms saying his team will proceed to the sixth floor, comms is suddenly down and not responding. Trying again and receiving no response, Owen and the 126 proceed to the sixth floor where a child, Jack, is kneeling by an injured adult. Jack tells Owen his sisters are in the next room over, and Tommy, who has knelt by the injured adult, instructs T.K. and Nancy to head over to the next room with Paul and Mateo. Opening the door, pink dust explodes in their faces as the lights come on, and the 126 is told they’d all be dead if the drill was real, and they just failed the drill.
Arriving back to the station, Nancy, Paul and Mateo call T.K. over to come take a selfie of them covered in the pink dust to send to Marjan. As they snap the photo, saying “Dead sexy,” Owen admonishes them, saying they should have more respect for first responders who didn’t survive ordeals the 126 was just training for.

Later, Owen stands in front of the 126 talking about his working with the FBI, the threat he believes is imminent now, saying “Tell the people you love, you love them.”

While telling his team this, Sgt. O’Brien and members of the police, including Carlos, are seen storming the Honor Dogs’ Farm in search of Andy’s missing wife and son.

Shortly after telling the 126 about the imminent threat, the firehouse tones ring out, with every single station being called to a bomb threat at the State Capitol.
Arriving to the State Capitol, emergency services begin evacuating people from the building, while Owen watches the camera feed of a robot from inside a command truck. The robot finds barrels that Owen and the police believe could be the stolen ammonium nitrite and Owen chooses to go inside the capitol building to inspect them further, going against orders to stay put.
Finding out the barrels in the State Capitol building are a decoy, Owen realizes the threat is outside and the bomb could be in an emergency vehicle, prompting him to order his team to start re-evacuating people back inside.
FBI/Honor Dogs
As Owen arrives to the Honor Dogs headquarters to ask them about the ammonium nitrite, the FBI suddenly raid the bar. As FBI agent Biondi takes Owen outside to arrest him, an explosion occurs inside the bar.
As emergency vehicles from the 126 arrive, and Owen’s team realizes he’s on site, Owen emerges from the bar carrying an injured Agent Casey, who later dies on route to the hospital.
At the hospital, Owen helps ask Honor Dog member, Red, some questions, where it’s revealed the Honor Dogs were never part of stealing the ammonium nitrite. Andy, Sgt. O’Brien’s nephew, had sent a text, making it seem like it came from Red’s phone, for members of the Honor Dogs to show up at the bar, where the bomb was.
This leads the FBI, Sgt. O’Brien, and Owen to head to Andy’s house, where they find his wife and son are missing. Believing they might be at the Honor Dog’s property, the Farm, the FBI and Sgt. O’Brien make their way there.
Sgt. O’Brien/Carlos
After not finding Andy’s wife and son at the Farm, the FBI leave to head to the State Capitol, while Sgt. O’Brien and Carlos stay behind to continue a search of their own.

They find a stable on the property where they find Andy’s wife and son held hostage. As Joanne’s gag is taken off, she alerts Sgt. O’Brien to someone behind him. Turning around, he comes face to face with Honor Dogs’ newest recruit, Mikey, pointing a gun at him. Mikey shoots O’Brien in his bullet proof vest, and just as he seems ready to shoot O’Brien in the head, Carlos shoots and injures Mikey.

Andy/Mikey
It is revealed that Andy had gotten in deep with Mikey, but when he realized Mikey had stolen a shipment of ammonium nitrite and had plans for it, he realized he was in too deep.
When Andy tried to back out, Mikey kidnapped Joanne and her son as collateral, which prompted Andy to drive an ambulance with the bomb in it onto the grounds of the State Capitol.
After Andy is apprehended by the FBI, Owen gets into the ambulance, and with help from Grace is and the 126 firefighters, is able to safely get the ambulance into a body of water, where the bomb goes off safely.
Tarlos

The episode ends with Owen showing up at the Tarloft unannounced with Chinese food for dinner. He tells T.K. he’s proud of him, and as they all sit down for dinner, Owen begins talking about the ideas he has for the Tarlos wedding.

Parallels
This episode had some parallels in it from previous episodes.
During the end scene, Owen, T.K. and Carlos having Chinese food around the Tarloft dining table resembled the 3×08 end scene in which T.K., Owen and Gwyn had Chinese food at Owen’s place. It is also mentioned that the Chinese food Owen brought over to the Tarloft was from the same place T.K.’s parents ate at.
The scene of Owen carrying an injured Agent Casey out of the explosion resembled the 4×03 scene in which Carlos carried an injured Iris out of the house she had been abducted in. And the scene of Owen, T.K., Tommy and Nancy surrounding the stretcher Agent Casey was placed on, resembled the 4×03 scene in which T.K., Carlos, Tommy and Nancy were surrounding the stretcher Iris was placed on.

Episode 7, ‘Tommy Dearest, airs on March 7.
4×07 synopsis: Capt. Strand and the 126 help a husband whose wife ‘dies’ when she is not upside down. Grace takes a call from a pizza delivery driver who is in for the shock of his life. Tommy is worried Trevor’s young daughter is a bad seed as she attempts to break them up. Paul is hesitant to go on a date with Asha, who knows him prior to his transition.
Next episode/future episodes
I am really looking forward to watching the next episode because I believe the emergency of the woman who dies when she is not upside down is going to be hilarious.
Also, I really loved the ending scene between Owen, T.K., and Carlos, because it perfectly sets up for episode 8, in which we will see some Tarlos wedding planning, as well as a sweet father-son scene between Owen and T.K.! I can’t wait to see episode 8, as Ronen Rubinstein (T.K.) has been saying it is one of his favourite episodes this season!
