The 126 paramedics respond to a woman with an arrow through her neck in the only emergency of the episode.

Known as the mean lady by the neighbourhood kids, Gigi keeps any balls thrown into her yard. The boys next door get pissed when she doesn’t return their ball, so one of them grabs a bow and arrow and just as he’s about to shoot, Gigi appears over the fence, startling him, and sending the arrow off direction and into her neck.
As T.K., Nancy and Tommy arrive, T.K. points out there’s no blood coming from the injury, and it’s revealed Gigi has a mass in her neck, which stopped the arrow from killing her, essentially leading to the boys saving her life.

Elsewhere, Mateo is known to have an identical cousin, Marvin, who was a character on the original 911 show.
In ‘Double Trouble, Mateo gets a call from Marvin, in which Marvin is locked up for stealing a car, and needs $25,000 for bail. We learn that Marvin is a frequent flyer in jail, and Mateo always bails him out.
This time, the bail amount is higher than usual, and Mateo ends up being transferred the money from his girlfriend, Nancy.
After Mateo bails Marvin out though, Marvin steals another car and takes it for a joy ride, crashing it and succumbing to his injuries in the crash.
Being given the rest of the day off to go pack and leave for his cousin’s funeral, Mateo blames himself for his cousin’s death.
Once back at Captain Strand’s house, instead of packing, Mateo swigs some alcohol, moves to walk, and blacks out, hitting his head as he falls to the floor.

In Mateo’s dream, 911 Lone Star creates a sitcom universe, in which we learn Mateo immigrated to the US from Mexico as a kid to live with his Uncle O (Rob Lowe), Aunt Marvin (Gina Torres), and cousins Marvin and Daniella (Natacha Karam).
Mateo is seen as a bad kid, sneaking back into his and Marvin’s room in the morning, after being out with friends and burning down their middle school. In his sitcom dream, Officer Carlos and his Nincompoop sidekick T.K., show up as cops, saying they saw Mateo on security footage buying two cans of red spray paint, as Carlos is seen holding up the can left at the scene.

Thinking he’s dead and believing he’s about to be deported, Mateo is silent as he thinks of what to say, when Marvin comes downstairs with red spray paint on his hands, confessing to the crime, and taking the fall for Mateo.

When Mateo wakes up to Owen and Nancy at his side, he tells them he needs to go to the police station as he wants to turn himself in for the crime his cousin took the fall for, saying if it wasn’t for him, his cousin would still be alive.
Agreeing to drive him to the station, Owen takes Mateo to the fire station, telling him he doesn’t want to lose him too.
Thoughts
During the 126 emergency call, as Gigi was being lifted into the ambulance, we saw T.K. and Carlos interact, and I’m really happy we saw them interact! The last time we saw them on a call was when Carlos was angry and not talking to T.K. when Iris was missing, so to see them interact as fiancés in the field was sweet.

I really loved seeing T.K. and Carlos as cops in the dream universe! T.K. with a moustache was amazing, and his mannerisms in the sitcom part of the episode looked a lot like Ronen being able to be Ronen! Ronen was able to be goofy, which is his normal self, and I loved seeing him take on the role of a nincompoop sidekick.
I also really enjoyed seeing Julian play both Mateo and Marvin. This was Julian’s big episode, and he killed it! He played Mateo and Marvin in the normal Lone Star universe, and then played Mateo and Marvin in the sitcom universe and did such an incredible job playing two characters!
Next Episode
Episode 4×12, ‘Swipe Left,’ airs on April 11.
4×12 synopsis: The 126 help Marjan enter the dating world through a series of chaperoned dates; Owen and the team are called to the rescue when a pregnant woman takes her anger out at a motel where she suspects her husband is cheating on her.
I am excited to see 4×12! Based on the promo, articles about the upcoming episode, and stills of the episode, we know that T.K. and Carlos will be one of the chaperones for a date Marjan goes on.
Marjan will also be doing physical therapy to get her ready for returning to the field, and Natacha Karam’s boyfriend will be portraying Marjan’s physical therapist!

Carlos will be at both of the 126 emergencies they respond to, which I am excited to see as well!
4×12 will also be a Tarlos episode, as T.K. and Carlos will be meeting with a few officiants to discuss plans for their upcoming wedding!!

With all that coming on April 11, I am stoked to see the next episode!
