911 Lone Star 4×12 ‘Swipe Left’ Recap/Review

Tarlos
T.K. and Carlos open the episode meeting with possible officiants for their wedding, with one leading T.K. to find out Carlos doesn’t want kids.
Bringing the topic up with Carlos after, Carlos says he wants to live life with T.K. by travelling the world, before thinking about having kids.
Worried about this new predicament all episode, we see the topic about babies pop up all throughout the episode, and see T.K. have a little heart-to-heart with his captain, Tommy Vega.
Later, in a montage with T.K. having a conversation with his father, and Carlos having a conversation with his mother, we learn Carlos’ fears about having kids stems from his own relationship with his father.
When Carlos comes home at the end of the episode, he shows up with a new pet for T.K.: a bearded dragon, who later escapes from his box, very reminiscent of the 3×15 scene in which Lou escaped his cage.
One thing is for sure, though, if the bearded dragon ends up being Tarlos’ only child, T.K. and Carlos are still on the road to getting happily married.
126 Rescues
Knowing we weren’t done seeing the couple from the motor home in episode two, Lila and Mitch showed up in episode 12. With the money they received in their Go Fund Me to buy a new home, they purchased a luxurious car, and then promptly crashed it only to be buried in a pile of manure.
Stuck in a shitty situation, it’s the 126 that arrives to rescue them, bringing with it, Marjan back on duty and in charge of the equipment that would extract them from the manure.
Later, at a hotel, a pregnant woman, Fara, arrives in search of her husband, who she believes is cheating on her, and at the hotel with his affair. When the front desk clerk refuses to give Fara any information on what room her husband is in, she gets angry and drives a construction vehicle into the hotel.
The 126 firefighters later extract Fara from the construction vehicle, hoping the hotel won’t collapse while they’re doing so.
Marjan
Back to duty, Marjan is seen having a physiotherapy session with Joe at Barton Creek Physiotherapy, with Paul there for support.
After her session, she finds out her former fiancée is having a baby with his wife. Deciding to get back into the dating world, Marjan agrees to let the members of the 126 chaperone her on dates.
A date she meets with Captain Strand as her chaperone, Fauza, is the leading contestant for Marjan as they seem to hit it off and he’s passionate about rescuing and rehoming dogs. Marjan sets up another date with Fauza, only to later discover his cheating ass on a call the 126 respond to.
But as they say, love interests sometimes pop up out of nowhere, as near the end of the episode, Marjan runs into Joe while shopping with Paul, and it seems sparks may fly between the two.
Thoughts
I really enjoyed watching this episode! It might be my one of my favourite episodes of season 4 and is definitely one of my top 10 Tarlos episodes!
I really enjoyed seeing the parallel of the bearded dragon escaping in the loft to when Lou escaped his cage, because it seems like Carlos is always going to be fearful of reptiles escaping in his home.
I also really enjoyed seeing Carlos on a call the 126 responded to because I always love seeing him and T.K. on scene together!
I hope Carlos one day comes around to having kids, but I don’t want him to come around soon. If the show gets renewed for a season five, I want to see T.K. and Carlos in married life, and don’t want to see them with kids until at least a season six!
The montage of Tarlos meeting with the priests was amazing, because the humour of it was top notch! I really laughed when Amethyst was doing that breathing thing, and when she was talking about their auras and the sight, Carlos connected the dots that the sight is just the colour wheel!
I also loved how Natacha Karam’s boyfriend played Marjan’s physiotherapist, because the way they set it up, Natacha might get to date her boyfriend as their characters in the show!

I am excited to see next week’s episode! It’s going to be amazing seeing Sierra McClain’s own sisters on the show as Grace’s sisters!
I am also excited to see the 126 respond to the emergency next week, as it has to do with Kendra’s secret.
