Kendra, Paul and Owen
Last episode, after Owen met Brett, the husband of the woman he was dating and discovered their marriage was ‘open,’ the Brett ended up freezing to death in his cryotherapy chamber. Ending the episode, Owen got a call from Major Gabriel Reyes, saying the Texas Rangers were investigating Brett’s death as a homicide.

Suspecting Kendra of killing her husband, as it is most typically the spouse, Gabriel told Owen key details of the case, including the fact that Kendra’s first husband had died in a suspicious accident.
Convincing Owen she didn’t kill Brett, Owen enlists the help of 126 firefighter Paul Strickland to search for clues in Brett’s death.
In the search for clues, Gabriel eventually joins Owen, Kendra and Paul in investigating, and they soon discover Brett may have accidentally poisoned himself with some sort of pesticide.

Believing there is a missing link to the puzzle, Paul eventually realizes Brett was trying to poison Kendra when he had accidentally poisoned himself.
Figuring this out, Paul also realizes that the birthday gift of Gin Brett left Kendra is poisoned. Letting Owen know this, Owen reveals Kendra has already taken a sip of the Gin.
Seeing the poison act fast, Owen decides to “stupidly” give Kendra rescue breaths, essentially poisoning himself as well.
Owen later wakes up in the hospital to Kendra at his bedside.

Tommy and Trevor
After a bible study, a couple of gossipy women in the church congregation find out that Tommy is dating Pastor Trevor, with one of them remarking “he’s probably filling her with more than the Holy Spirit.”
When Trevor finds out the church congregation is gossiping about his relationship with Tommy, he decides to break it off with Tommy as past gossip at his last church led to his divorce and subsequent moving to a new city, when his wife had been having an affair.

Later, at the end of the episode, Tommy strides into the church service in a gorgeous get-up, and as she takes over the pulpit and reads a passage from the bible, with the meaning of “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all,” Trevor moves in and kisses Tommy in front of the entire church congregation.
Thoughts
I love Paul Strickland, and he is an amazing firefighter, but I don’t understand why it’s always the firefighters that solve cases in 911 Lone Star. I would have loved to see a joint Texas Rangers and Austin Police team up on the homicide case so we could have seen Carlos, the actual APD officer on the show, working with his father.
This episode didn’t have any emergencies that the 126 attended to, and I missed seeing one because I love the action of the firefighters and EMS responding to emergencies.
We did get a cute Tarlos scene in the episode as we saw Carlos and T.K. cuddling on their couch with no personal space during their 126 hang with the crew.

Next episode
Episode 15, ‘Donors,’ airs on May 2.
4X15 synopsis: Grace and Carlos work together when they suspect a young woman was a victim of a black-market organ trafficking ring; Owen’s brother Robert comes to visit and meet T.K., but surprises Owen with news that can affect the Strand family.

I am super stoked for next week’s episode! In season three, we saw Grace and Carlos team up to work on a swatting case, and it was amazing watching them work together! I am so excited to see Grace and Carlos working together next episode and know that Rafael Silva and Sierra McClain are going to crush the episode!
I am also excited to see Robert meeting T.K. because I hope that during this episode, T.K. finds out who he’s named after!
Based on the title of the episode, my guess is Robert reveals to Owen that he needs an organ transplant, but I don’t really think Owen or T.K. are great candidates for donating an organ, because T.K. has been in three comas in his life and Owen is a cancer survivor.

T.K. also gets a black eye next episode, and I am guessing it’s going to be a combative patient that punches him in the back of the ambulance! At least this T.K. injury won’t send him to a hospital bed.
