911 Lone Star 5x02 'Trainwrecks' Recap/Review

Tommy

After annoying their daughter's on not being able to follow through on a TikTok dance, Tommy and Trevor Parks (D.B. Woodside), take a moment alone, as their daughter's go off out of view. In this moment, Tommy proposes to Trevor, who accepts with one condition. That his ex-wife, Cassandra, vet Tommy and give her approval for helping raise her and Trevor's daughter, Melody.

Judd

Still wanting his old job back, Judd plans on talking to Owen again, but unbeknownst to him, Wyatt pays Owen a visit at the firehouse and begs Owen to give his father his job back. Owen tells Wyatt the same thing he told Judd the previous episode. Believing he won't be getting his job back, Judd makes a decision to become a trucker, and after impressing the truck company owner, the owner takes him on a trial run.

Paul and Marjan

Still competing for the Lieutenant position, Owen makes the decision to give the position to the firefighter who scored higher on their Lieutenant test. But after calling Paul and Marjan into his office, Owen finds out they tied on their test, both receiving the highest mark the 126 has ever had.

126 Rescues

The 126 respond to two rescues this episode. The first, an EMS call, where Tommy, Nancy and TK respond to a woman who was doing the "stick it in your mouth" challenge, and got a harmonica stuck in her mouth.

The second rescue is the train derailment where the 126 work to save a man trapped in his car crushed under a train car. Mateo Chavez (Julian Works), is tasked with crawling into the small space to help treat the patient before they can work on getting him out.

The train, which also happened to have a propane tanker car, explodes at the end of the episode, knocking anyone on scene unconscious, and closing out the episode.

Thoughts

I know something is going to happen that is going to result in Judd returning to the 126, so I'm looking forward to seeing what that may be.

I'm excited to see who becomes the station's next Lieutenant, and I'm eager to see the next episode to see how the 126 tackles the explosion.

Next episode is supposed to be a heavy Tommy, Nancy, TK (TNT), episode, so I'm excited to see the 126 paramedics shine.
