911: Lone Star In Production for Season 5

Due to the writers’ and actor’s strike over this past summer, 911 Lone Star didn’t begin filming for season 5 until the beginning of March of 2024.
As with every season, the show opens with a storyline that arcs over a few episodes. This season’s big emergency is going to be a train derailment, and coming over from last season, Carlos Reyes, (Rafael Silva), will most likely be investigating his father’s murder.
What intrigues me for the train derailment scenes, is that the paramedic crew look like they're in turnouts, so, I'm curious as to whether TK's dual certification may be used and he may go into the wreckage of the train to help rescue survivors.
Last week, on May 24, showrunner Tim Minear posted the first still from season 5, a photo of Carlos on the phone, with a blurred-out TK (Ronen Rubinstein), on the couch with his head down. As with every still that gets released, us fans love to speculate on what that scene could be, and to me, it looks like Carlos could be receiving some news about his father’s murder investigation, which could possibly put TK and Carlos in danger later in the season.
The new season will also be showing us a glimpse of married Tarlos, (TK & Carlos), and as teased by Rubinstein, there will be a steamy scene between the two in episode 5, something fans can look forward to.
Something the fans won’t look forward to however, is the fact that TK will be slightly injured before episode 5.
Rubinstein has also teased that we are going to see both the ups and downs of married life for Tarlos, something I am excited to see, and that has me crossing my fingers that there will be beautiful communication scenes between the couple in their downs of marriage.
Today, on May 29, Rubinstein posted a still of the first glimpse of paramedic TK in season 5, saying “Paramedic mode on 100 this season.” This excites me so much, because I love watching Rubinstein in action on the show, and it always excites me to see the paramedic scenes, so to know that there will be no shortage of paramedic TK this season is amazing.
A few weeks ago, Rubinstein’s cast-mate and fellow paramedic partner, Brianna Baker (Nancy Gillian), posted a photo in which Nancy’s paramedic jacket has the words Capt. Gillian stitched on it. This makes me wonder what happens to paramedic captain Tommy Vega (Gina Torres), to make Nancy captain.
Does Nancy just get a promotion and become captain, or does Tommy end up retiring in season 5 and we see Nancy taking her role? I am eagerly awaiting to see the reason we see Capt. Gillian, and whatever the reason she is captain, I know she’ll be a good paramedic captain!
Season 5 of 911 Lone Star is confirmed to premiere in the fall of 2024, with a total of 12 episodes, and I am eagerly looking forward to the new season.
I know that Silva is going to absolutely kill the storyline he has been given for Carlos, and I can’t wait to see him diving into trying to solve his father’s murder, because really, the only person who can solve it, is him.
I also know that the rest of the cast is going to crush whatever storylines they receive, because the entire cast is phenomenal, and I love watching everyone on the show. I am excited to see what happens with Tommy and Reverend Parks’ (D.B. Woodside), relationship, I’m excited to see what happens with Paul (Brian Michael Smith) and Asha’s (Amanda Payton) relationship, and I’m excited to see what happens with Judd’s (Jim Parrack) storyline and what brings him back to the firehouse after where last season left him.
Also, as evidenced by Rubinstein’s Instagram posts, the ante on TK’s outfits has been upped, and in Rubinstein’s words, there’s “Snazzy TK.”
For now, I will continue eagerly waiting and watching for more bts videos and photos from the cast.
